This source finds applications as a &7quot;keep alive" as well as a test source for field and factory applications. The outputs can be selected for M13 or C-bit Parity framing formats and the data patterns can be selected to be PRBS (2e15/2e20/2e23 internal jumper selectable), IDLE or BLUE (AIS). Error insert on a selected output is a valuable aid in routing verification and testing. The source C-Bit identity code can be loaded through the RS-232C interface and stored in internal non-volatile RAM. The versatility of selected modes of operation with 9 outputs in a 1.75 vertical rack space make the TSI-4503 a valuable addition to the DS-3 cross connect bay and DS-3 switch installations.
