Product Description

The Noise Measurement Filters measure the noise content of various signals in the system by separating noise from signals using filtering techniques. They can also be used to measure quantization and
intermodulation noise, as well as noise on voice channels.

The module contains a selectable frequency low-pass filter, a band-pass filter, and a notch filter. The low-pass filter simulates transmission channels of different bandwidths. It is preceded by a summing amplifier allowing the addition of a noise signal to simulate a "noisy" transmission channel. The notch filter and the band-pass filter have the same center frequency in order to measure signal-to-noise (S/N) ratios. The band-pass filter can be used for cleaning up a signal or for Gaussian noise generation.
