Fixed platform brackets mount directly to the side of positioners and are secured with M3 capscrews. When the brackets are secured, the mounting surface is in line with the nominal platform height of the moving platform. Fixed platform brackets may be mounted in two alternative positions which, with the option of rotating the top mounting plate of the positioner by 90 degrees, ensures that the user always has the most convenient access to the x-y-z drives. This also offers greater flexibility when configuring an experiment on an optical table. Fixed and moving platforms can be nested together in a variety of ways without the need to specify left- or right-handed positioners. There are two fixed platform brackets.
