This very popular generator covers a frequency range of 500 kHz to 512 MHz with a levelled output range of -145 dBm to +19 dBm (0.013 microV to 2V). Versatile AM, FM and pulse modulation. Phase lock and an internal 6-digit counter eliminates the need for a separate frequency counter. The 8640's superb spectral purity and low phase noise is due to its sophisticated cavity oscillator design.
