    • Fifteen plug-in interface modules including RS-232-C, V.35, DDS, Fractional T1/E1 and Drop and Insert of Data and VF on Full and Fractional T1 Channels
    • LEDs monitor key interface signals
    • Printer timestamps and records setup and 18 test measurements

    FEATURES

    • Measurements and setups are displayed on a bright, 2-line, 48-character supertwist backlit display with a display freeze feature.
    • Select 20 async data rates from 50 bps to 115.2k bps and 82 sync rates from 600 bps to 2.048M bps, including N x 56k bps and N x 64k bps. External clocks to 16 Mbps. Three user-patterns may be entered: loop-up, loop-down, and a custom test pattern. Each pattern may be up to 24 bits in length.
    • Status LEDs provide status of loopback, pattern sync, frame sync, and inverted receive data.
    • Eighteen simultaneous measurements of BERT, BLERT, EFS, G.821, and bipolar errors can be displayed and printed.
    • Perform remote loopback using the loop-up/down buttons with the standard CSU codes or special codes entered by the user.
    • Nineteen error injection rates from single error to 5 errors in 10E8 bits may be selected.
    • Hand-held unit may be powered by AC adapter (115/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz) or a rechargeable portable battery pack. The battery pack provides up to 20 hours of continuous use.
    • Six block sizes from 10E3 to 10E8 bits may be selected for BLERT tests and error injection.
    • Twelve LEDs indicate the status of each plug-in interface. The name of each LED is printed on the interface front panel.
    • Fifteen plug-in interface modules ranging from RS-232-C and V.35 to Fractional T1 with Data/VF Drop and Insert are available.
    • Pseudo-random patterns can be transmitted and received in QRSS format. Tx Data can be transmitted normal or inverted.
    • Fourteen test patterns are available including Mark, Alt, 55 octet Daly, NET 55, 1 in 8, 3 in 24, 3 to 24 bit User defined, Fox. 63, 511, 2047, 32K, 1M (2^20 - 1), and 8M (2^23 - 1) psuedo-random patterns can be selected. The standard T1 QRSS test pattern can be selected. Patterns can be inverted.
    • A parallel printer port allows measurements and front-panel settings to be time/date stamped and printed, periodically or manually. Any standard printer can be used. A 40/80 character per line printer (AC/Battery powered), and parallel-to-serial adapter are optional.
    • The transmitter may be controlled by RTS or CTS (or neither) with the user controlling RTS via a switch. Fox messages are under Xon/Xoff software flow control.
    • User may select the code level, parity, and stop bits of the transmitted asynchronous characters.
    • The touch of a button initiates a timestamped printout including front-panel setup and up to eighteen measurements.
