Tektronix Type 506 is:
- A 20+ MHz bandwidth oscilloscope
- Designed to use 560‑series horizontal plug‑ins
- But it requires special high‑speed vertical plug‑ins (the 9A1 and 9A2)
- The mainframe contains no vertical or horizontal amplifiers — the plug‑ins directly drive the CRT plates
- Uses a T5033‑31‑1 CRT with P31 phosphor
- Runs at a relatively low 3.5 kV accelerating voltage (no post‑deflection acceleration)
