Regulations and use

The safety monitoring modules, intended for use in safety interlock applications, provide positive evaluation of the signal from limit switches with positive break or from magnetic safety sensors at sliding, hinged and removable safety guards and from emergency stop devices which are installed in safety functions. The safety monitoring modules are designed for installation in switchgear cabinets. The safety monitoring modules conforms to the EN 954-1: Control Category 3.

Design
The safety monitoring modules are of a dual-channel design. They incorporate two relays with monitored, positive-guided contacts. The NO contacts of the relays,wired in series, form the enabling paths (relay outputs).
