In 1981 the Z-80 was king of the hill . With 8 addressing modes and three count them - three! interrupt modes it was a "hard to beat 8-bit microprocessor" (according to the manual). Protec Microsystems put together this Z80 computer to meet the needs of students teachers and experimenters. Our 1986 fully-assembled model comes with 2K onboard RAM 2K EPROM (with 1K used for the monitor program) a hex keyboard a six digit display 2 I/O parallel ports and an interface for storing programs on a separate tape device. A 5V/1A voltage regulator so that only an 8V 1A transformer-rectifier is required to power the unit.
Perfect for getting down to the basics of computer science.
