The unit is operational once pluggled into AC power supply of 40.00 Hertz to 500.00 Hertz. The reading tells line-frequency ± 0.01 Hertz accuracy. It does not require any kind of calibration since it is Quartz Crystal controlled. The reading updates every second. The label shows the power supply voltage required.
