This unit can test two multimode fibers simultaneously for loss at two wavelengths, calculate cable length and store data from the tests for readout on a PC.
The ACT2 can be used for premises cabling and includes a talkset for communication between test crews.
The database memory can hold test data on up to 250 cables and 500 fibers, and cable data can be loaded from a PC before testing. The fiber tester is menu-driven, with four front-panel buttons to allow scrolling.
