The DPCM Decoder is converts the less than 8-bit parallel DPCM signals from the DPCM Decoder to an 8-bit PCM signal. This PCM signal is then fed to the parallel input of the PCM Decoder to recover the original analog signal.  Using the DPCM Decoder, students gain an understanding of the more complex processes involved in DPCM decoding and the effects of noise on DPCM transmissions.
