Product Description
The Chopper / Inverter Control Unit is a plug-in control module designed for the control of IGBT Chopper/
inverter or power MOSFETs in power converter circuits. It generates six 0-5 V pulse signals brought out to a 9
pin socket on the front panel. These control signals can be routed to the IGBT Chopper/Inverter, Models 8837,
through the use of an included mating 9-pin cable. Various control modes are selectable on the front panel
depending on the type of power converter circuit to be controlled (PWM chopper, three-phase inverter with 120°
modulation, etc.) Each mode’s parameters are set by low-level dc signals applied at the control inputs. Two
variable dc sources on the front panel can be used to produce these control signals.
