<div class="prod_text"><h3 class="icon-head head-products">Znyx Networks ZX4300P Series 24 Port CPCI Switch for PICMG 2.16 CompactPCI Packet Switching Backplane Chassis</h3><p>The ZX4300P CompactPCI Ethernet 10/100 Mbps switch is the most cost-effective and flexible solution to Embedded CarrierClass Layer 2 switching requirements. ZNYX Networks' ZX4300P is the first switch designed to support the PICMG 2.16 specification for a CompactPCI Packet Switching Backplane (CPSB), but it can also be deployed in a standard CompactPCI chassis by using an optional 24-port rear transition board (RTB). There are three configurations where the ZX4300P may be employed:&#160; When installed in the fabric slot of a CPSB chassis, the ZX4300P includes support for the extended CPSB specification, routing all 24 10/100 ports to the backplane. It also supports the typical 19 node standard CPSB chassis, and, with the addition of the ZXRTB05 RTB, routes the remaining 5 ports to rear-panel RJ-45 connectors. This allows the systems architect to easily add other chassis to the switched backplane fabric.</p><p>The ZX4300P may also be installed in a node slot of a CPSB chassis and paired with a ZXRTB24 rear transition board. This setup will provide 22 (not 24) 10/100 ports for rear panel I/O. In this configuration, the ZX4300P may also communicate at 10/100 Mbps over the CPSB backplane via port 23 to an intelligent, managed CPSB switch, such as a ZX4500P, located in Fabric slot A, and via port 07 to a ZX4500P switch in Fabric slot B. In a third configuration, the ZX4300P is installed in a standard CompactPCI chassis peripheral slot (without an H.110 bus), and configured with a ZXRTB24 RTB to provide rear panel I/O for all 24 10/100 ports. This permits stand-alone operation of a single, or multiple, layer 2 switches in a CompactPCI chassis to gain the advantages of HotSwap and redundant power supplies offered by some chassis.</p><div class="prod_text">In either chassis, the ZX4300P's HotSwap and instant reconfiguration features allow rapid installation in a live system and a mean-time-to-repair of mere seconds.</div><div class="prod_text">&#160;</div> <div class="prod_text">By using the latest switch silicon, the ZX4300P features non-blocking line-rate switching, 802.3x and back-pressure flow control.
