<p>The Lab-Volt 1242 is designed as a general-purpose instrumentation module.  It provides just about everything you need except the oscilloscope.
This instrument consists of an AF Generator, Autoranging Digital Multimeter & Two Fixed-Voltage DC Power Supplies.
Some features of the unit are:
An LCD with automatic ranging for the voltage and resistance functions.
3 current ranges can be selected manually.
Internal circuit protection is provided on all functions & ranges without use of fuses.
The sine/square/triangle function gen. provides a 20 Vp-p adjustable output signal.
The frequency coverage is continuous over 20 Hz to 200 kHz in four ranges.
The output is protected against overload conditions by internal solid-state circuitry.
The DC power supplies provide a highly regulated 15-volt output.
Internal thermal overload and short-circuit current limiting provide protection at the output jacks without the use of fuses.
