This is a portable digital ultrasonic flaw detector.

The EPOCH 2002 incorporates a 5 inch diagonally measured TV formatted CRT.
The sealed touch-panel keyboard controls all instrument functions and settings, replacing tightly packed switches.
All of the EPOCH's functions and settings are under precise microprocessor control
with absolute calibration in either English or metric engineering units.
The electronically generated graticule assures precise correlation with waveforms, with no possiblity of parallax error.
This unit also has 0.1 dB sensitivity resolution which fulfills the demands of many critical industrial and other test applications.

When you look at the photos of the display, you'll see a slightly darker vertical line.  This is not visible with the naked eye, but when I shoot the photos, the camera sees this line moving across the screen.  This is only because the refresh rate of the monitor and the refresh rate of the camera are not in sync.
