    Product Description

High Quality, wire round resistors are used in theses decades.  There are 6 resistors per decade opposed to the regular 10. These are combined by swithching in such a way that there are no discontinuities; that is, the resistance increases stepwise just as though ten resistors were used. The switches have solid silver alloy contacts for low resistance and a long life.

Resistors are of low temperature-co efficient Evanohm* wire except the 1-ohm step and 0.1 ohm /step decades wich use wire and ribbon ( respectively ) of another low temperature coefficient alloy.  The resistors of the 100-10- and 1-ohm /step decades are Ayrton-Perry wound to minimize inductance.

    ACCURACY

    • Tolerances apply at low currentsa and at dc or low frequency ac.

    OVER-ALL

    • The difference between the resistance at any setting and at the zero setting is equal to the indicated value ±(0.02% + 5 mohm), except for the 1434-QC wich may have an additional error of ±1ohm when the rheostat is used.

    ZERO RESISTANCE

    • Approx 3 mohm per dial at low frequencies.

    TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT

    • <±140PPM / °C at room tempersture except for the low valued units where the +0.4%/C temperature coefficient of the zero resistance must be added.

    SWITCHES

    • Multiple wiper, solid silver alloy switches are used to obtain low and stable zero resistance.

    TERMINALS

    • Jack -top binding posts on standard 3/4 inch spacing. A shield terminal is also provided.
