The HYTRAK 100D is the most sophisticated and cost-effective short circuit locator available. To locate a solder bridge on a printed circuit board (or any other electronic assembly), you merely have to select the range - super sensitive HYTRAK range for shorts between voltage planes - 200 milliohm range for power tracks etc., - place the probes across the shorted tracks and slide along the track until you either obtain the highest tone pitch or the lowest meter reading.
You should now be within a few millimetres of the hidden or invisible physical short - What could be easier ?

For shorts on memory pcb s use the ultra sensitive micro-ohmeter function to resolve 100 micro-ohm increments in the last digit of the display.
