The 5101B is designed for the user who needs the automated features of a large computer aided calibration system without the hardware and software costs of a large system. A typical cal procedure consiste of 40 or 50 separate steps. For most benchtop systems each step must be loaded into the calibrator, which is a slow tedious procedure. The 5101B has a built-in cassette tape deck to store the calibration procedure and step through them under microprocessor control!
