This unit incorporates in a single compact enclosure an ultra low distortion sine-wave generator, a high performance total harmonic distortion measuring system and a wide range, high sensitivity signal level and noise measuring facility. In addition a tunable band pass filter is included allowing the system to function as a selective voltmeter.

In addition, a tuneable band pass filter allows the unit to operate as a selective voltmeter or for manual spectrum analysis.     The Hewlett-Packard Models 333A & 334A Distortion Analyzers are solid state instruments for measuring distortion and ac voltages. The Models 333A and 334A include two control loops that automatically tune both legs of a bridge circuit which rejects the fundamental when the rejection circuit is initially set within the range of the loops. A high impedance detector which operates from 500 kHz to greater than 65 MHz provides the capability of monitoring the distortion of the amplitude modulation on an RF carrier.

    This unit is the same as the 331A, but Adds
    Auto-nulling which measures down to 0.1% full scale distortion and

    The 339A measures total Harmonic Distortion, True RMS Volts and has a built-in sinewave oscillator which is phase-locked to the meter input receiver. This unit measures THD as low as 0.0018% over a 10 Hz to 110 kHz, including harmonics to 330 kHz. Distortion measurement range is 0.01% to 100%. The oscillator frequency range is 10 Hz to 100 kHz. The output level is variable from 1mV to 3 V RMS into 600 ohms. Voltmeter range is 1mV to 300 V RMS full scale.
